English and Math · Grades K–5
Find the skill each student is missing. Create the practice that teaches it.
Discenda assesses English and Math skill by skill, so you see exactly where every student stands. Then it creates the worksheets and flashcards for the skills they are missing — to use on screen or print for tomorrow.
How it works
“Behind in reading” is not something you can teach to. A missing skill is.
-
Assess by skill
Check a student or a whole class on the skills that matter, in a few minutes.
-
See who needs what
Results name the skill, not just a score: short o, not “62%”.
-
Create the practice
Worksheets and flashcards are built from those results, on screen or on paper.
-
Assess again
See who has it now, and move each group on to the next skill.
Three tools that work as one
Each one is useful on its own. Together, the results of one become the material for the next.
-
Skill-based assessments
Short checks on specific skills, for one student or the whole class, with results laid out skill by skill.
-
Practice sheets
Worksheets, homework and vacation packets, generated for the skill a student is working on — straight from their results.
-
Flashcards
Cards for the same skills, on screen or printed several to a page, for quick daily review.
Two subjects, one place
The foundations of reading, spelling and number, from kindergarten through fifth grade.
-
English
Letters and sounds, vowels, syllable types, prefixes and suffixes, spelling patterns and sight words.
-
Math
Number sense, then addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
For the whole school
Every teacher, every class, one platform

- Results by skill, so every teacher knows what to teach next
- Sheets and flashcards generated from those results
- Homework for the week, and packets for school vacations
- Classes and students, organized the way your school is
- Support from people who will help you get started
Questions schools ask
Who is Discenda for?
Elementary schools, kindergarten through fifth grade: classroom teachers, resource rooms and tutors.
How do the assessments work?
A teacher checks a student or a class on a set of skills. The results show which skills each student has mastered and which need practice.
How are the sheets and flashcards chosen?
From the results. Pick the skills a student or group is missing and Discenda builds the practice for exactly those.
Does it replace our curriculum?
No. It works alongside whatever you teach, and tells you which skills to reinforce.
Which word lists does it use?
Openly licensed lists such as Dolch and Fry, and you can add your school’s own.
How do we get started?
Talk to us about your grades and classes, and we will set your school up.
Bring Discenda to your school
